Biography

Sharanya Santosh is a Research Master’s student at the Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER). She holds a Master’s degree in Data Science and Analytics (First Class Honours) from Maynooth University, where her dissertation focused on developing a comprehensive weather window analysis dashboard to model wave and wind conditions for offshore operations. She also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Mumbai University, India.

Before joining COER, Sharanya worked as a Software Development Engineer, gaining experience in large-scale software systems and data-driven applications. Her current research, funded by the Centre for Research Training (CRT) in Foundations of Data Science, focuses on developing surrogate models and data-driven approaches for analysing CFD simulations of wave energy converters. Her broader interests include computational modelling, applied data science, and the development of intelligent parametric models for renewable energy systems
