Biography
Katniss Wen is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER), Maynooth University. She received her B.Eng. in Data Science and Big Data Technology and M.Eng. in Resources and Environment (Marine) from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Her previous research focused on the integration of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and deep reinforcement learning (DRL) for the modelling and control of wave energy converters. Her current research interests include wave energy conversion, intelligent control, reinforcement learning, and numerical modelling, with a particular focus on improving the performance and adaptability of wave energy systems.
