Iain McLeod

Biography

Iain McLeod graduated from Strathclyde University, Scotland, with the Master's in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with International Study. His year of International Study was spent at the University of Toronto in Canada. After graduating in 2018, Iain worked on Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace projects through Belcan, where he worked as a Graduate Stress Engineer.

Iain joined COER for a PhD in Developing a Wave Powered Data Buoy in July 2021. This highly collaborative project is funded by the Marine Institute's Eoin Sweeney Scholarship, and will see Iain working with PLOCAN, Dundalk IT, Techworks Marine, Resolute Marine and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.
