Biography
Dr. Alejandro Gonzalez-Esculpi earned his PhD in electrical engineering in 2024 from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, focusing on fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control (FTC) of wave energy converters (WECs). He also holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a master’s degree in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
In August 2024, Alejandro joined the Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) at NUI Maynooth as a postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on enhancing the reliability of WECs.
