Shuai Chen was born in Henan Province, China, in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering (2022) and a Master of Engineering (2025) from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi'an, China. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Maynooth University, Ireland. His research is focused on the control co-design of wave energy converters, with a specific emphasis on their mooring systems.
