Biography
Lisheng got his PhD from the University of Michigan in 2025 working on the design and control of a new mechanical motion rectifier power take-off. He has broad interests in facilitating more cost-effective WEC designs through innovations in both WEC physical systems and control systems. Specifically, his research highlights the control co-design philosophy, which underlines the importance of incorporating control optimization in early stage design of physical components.
He is visiting COER in the summer of 2025 and participating in the US-Ireland-Northern Ireland collaborative project on wave energy converter control co-design. In leisure time he enjoys exploring different things.
