COER offers the following test facilities:
Experimental tests are a key aspect of wave energy conversion studies. COER offers two different test facilities including: translational and rotational test benches. These facilities can be used for the validation of wave energy converter (WEC) numerical models and their power performance assessment in controlled and uncontrolled conditions. The translational test bench considers the heave direction of the WEC body, while the rotational test bench considers only pitch direction. The test benches include a power take off system to translate the mechanical motions of the bodies to electrical energy using a generator.
