Good afternoon,
Following on from previous events, we’re delighted to announce that the Marine Offshore Renewable Energy Lab (MOREnergy Lab) in collaboration with the Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) Maynooth, will host the 7th Wave Energy Workshop on Friday 29th April 2022, with invited experts from the ocean energy academic, industrial and policy community.
The workshop, usually held in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland is moving to Turin, Italy this year! The programme will consist of around 18 oral presentations (exact schedule to be finalized soon). The scope of the workshop will cover a range of topics across wave energy conversion, with a broad focus on hydrodynamic modelling, control and wave energy technology enhancement, with an industry and policy session, a poster exhibition and a round table discussion from international and local experts.
We expect an attendance of 100 members of the wave energy community with approximately 25 poster submissions. One of the main focuses of the workshop is to bring together and solidify the community of researchers and industrialists working in this area, while providing some impressions of best practice and state-of-the-art research and to further links with the academic/industrial community.
To register, please visit: http://www.morenergylab.polito.it/events/. A nominal registration fee of €40 (VAT excluded) will be charged to cover hospitality (lunch and 2 coffee-breaks included).
We would like to solicit abstracts for posters. We have space for 25 posters, operating on a first-come, first-served (subject to approval) basis. Posters should focus on some technical aspects of wave energy, rather than serving as a pure advertising medium! Please send us an abstract of your poster (max 500 words). There will be a poster competition, with prizes offered by INORE.
Further information on the website or by email to giuseppe.georgio@polito.ie, edoardo.pasta@polito.it and CarrieAnne.Barry@mu.ie.
We look forward to seeing you in Turin!
Kind regards,
Giuseppe, Edoardo and Carrie.
