Yerai Peña-Sanchez finished his degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (EHU) in 2016. In 2020 Yerai completed his PhD work at the Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) at NUI Maynooth, which focused on wave excitation force estimation and forecasting for wave energy applications.  He is now employed as a postdoctoral researcher with COER.
