Mustafa received his B.Sc. And M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering (Computer and Control) from Assiut University, Assiut Egypt in 2003 and 2014, respectively. In 2015 he joined Hull University, UK to pursue a PhD in the robust control and estimation approaches for Wave Energy applications, which he completed in May 2019. Then, he took up a post - doctoral research position at Hull University, working on the control of floating offshore wind turbines. In November 2020, he joined the COER lab at Maynooth University to work with Prof. John Ringwood to work on the investigation of the potential for Hybrid Wind-Wave renewable energy technology, with a strong focus on the use of control theory to enhance the economic viability of this technology.  My research interests include Wave Energy and floating wind turbine applications, and Robust Control and Estimation theory and applications.
