Biography

Gaurav Dhar received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Biophysics from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After finishing the first year of master's (M1) at the Ecole Polytechnique near Paris, he completed his master's degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Montpellier in the specialisation "Modelling and Numerical Analysis" in 2017.

More recently, he earned his PhD at the University of Limoges with a dissertation on optimal control for sampled-data systems in 2020. He is now working on the project of "Control Co-Design of Heterogeneous Arrays of Wave Energy Converters" at COER, in order to develop numerical optimisation-based control strategies for the linear and nonlinear models of Wave Energy Converter arrays.
